Sealcoating
Sealcoat is a liquid that is applied to asphalt to protect it from the environment and traffic. During the winter months, the surface can crack, causing a process called oxidation to occur. Oxidation can cause the asphalt to lose its water-proofing properties. This damage, along with the impact of UV rays and vehicle traffic, make seal-coating a must for your parking lot.
Seal-coating protects the asphalt from weather, traffic and oxidation.
How can you tell if your parking lot needs to be seal-coated?
The first and most noticeable signs of asphalt deterioration are change in color from a rich black to grey, as well as cracks which widen over time.
Most parking lots, and even parking lots with low traffic volume, require a seal-coating at a minimum of every 2 years. If your parking lot has not been seal-coated in 2 years, you’ll want to follow up with us for a free evaluation of your parking lot and a quote. Most parking lots in the Las Vegas area should be evaluated annually for cracking, wear and damage. Walk through your property and give us a call with your questions. We’re here to help.
